The Welcome Door Foundation

Each Wednesday evening a meal is offered on an open door basis at and in partnership with the Pacific Beach United Methodist Church to the impoverished members of the community.  Food is provided by Pacific Beach churches, agencies and businesses.  A loyal complement of volunteers assists in serving.  Some of the volunteers are from the homeless community.  There is an opportunity to sign up for and receive clinical services:  medical, dental, and acupuncture, all provided in partnership with local medical schools.  Our goal is not only to feed the hungry and restore their health, but also to build a community of trust which can be the basis for the rehabilitation of lives.
